I qualified from Onderstepoort in 1980, started working at Pen Vet in 1984 and became a partner in 1986 when Drs Brownlie and Hyam retired. I enjoy consulting and having contact with my patients and their owners. I have been a member of the Committee of the Western Cape Branch of the South African Veterinary Association since 1984 and also enjoy the contact with colleagues.

Married to Jill in 1995 and have one daughter, 2 step-children and 2 step-grand-children. My hobbies include my family, photography and travelling, especially if it involves driving.

After qualifying as a vet in 1986, I worked at the SPCA in Booysens, Johannesburg.

I joined Peninsula Veterinary Hospital in 1987. I enjoy contact with clients, doing surgery, and acupuncture. When not working, I enjoy my family of Jen and 4 daughters, running and indigenous gardening.

I graduated from Onderstepoort in 2002 and spent the next 2 years working as a vet in England. The next two years were then spent locuming in Johannesburg, Pietermaritzburg and Cape Town before ending up at Panorama Veterinary Clinic for nearly 4 years and helping run the 24 hour clinic.

A move to the southern suburbs brought me to Peninsula Veterinary Hospital where I am now a partner.

I enjoy a variety of veterinary science, particularly medical workups, interaction with clients and cancer management.

I am married with a young daughter and in my scant “free” time I enjoy mountain biking, running, being on the mountain and gardening.
